The patent and user numbers belong to Tranquil AI and earlier ventures — cited here as founder credibility, not as MahatOS's own traction. MahatOS is pre-launch and honest about it.
Built solo, for now
MahatOS takes its name from Mahat (महत्) — in Samkhya, the first principle of discernment through which consciousness knows itself.
MahatOS is something I've been building independently. My Tranquil AI co-founders and I continue to build that company together — that hasn't changed. MahatOS started as a personal exploration of a specific problem: applying the same privacy-preserving federated learning behind our patent to everyday friction.
It's early-stage and solo for now. I've shipped the voice pipeline, multi-agent orchestration, safety architecture, and the interface you've been using — as a working product, not a deck. I'm open to the right collaborators as it grows, and part of what I'm asking Vande Bharatam for is mentorship and pilot users while the core is being proven.
My message for Vande Bharatam
Vande Bharatam's founding insight — that India's next generation of builders exists far beyond five metro cities, and deserves a stage regardless of where they started — is exactly the opportunity I built MahatOS to earn.
I'm building sovereign AI infrastructure for the individual: not another chatbot, but a locally-controlled operating layer that proves India can architect deep, safety-conscious AI systems rather than only integrate someone else's. Every design decision — local-first data, permission-scoped autonomy, a human-confirmed approval flow before any consequential action — was made so capability and trust don't have to be traded off against each other.
Vande Bharatam is a chance to put that proof in front of the country's most demanding builders and investors, and to show that serious, safety-conscious AI engineering can come from outside the traditional hubs.
My ask: mentorship, pilot users, and a platform to prove sovereign AI engineering can come from outside the traditional hubs.
